EVERETT LEWIS
(1893-1980)

 

Everett LewisHusband of Maud Lewis, Everett worked as a farm labourer and fish peddler in his early years. After marrying Maud Dowley, he went to work as a night watchman at the Marshalltown Poor Farm. After his retirement he took up painting maritime scenes, landscapes with animals and other subjects. He was killed by an intruder in 1979.
